Role: Lead Designer – Branding, Visual Identity, and Print Design
Year: 2024
Hausa Viral is a dynamic and rapidly growing online newspaper that delivers timely news, entertainment, and cultural content to Hausa-speaking audiences in Nigeria and beyond. Built to resonate with modern readers while staying true to cultural roots, the platform offers a unique mix of journalism and regional storytelling.
I was brought on board to lead the complete rebranding of Hausa Viral, with the goal of creating a strong, youthful, and culturally grounded visual identity that aligns with the platform’s bold voice.
Brand Identity Design: Developed a distinct and modern logo system that reflects the energy of the platform while honoring Hausa cultural elements.

Editorial & Social Media Design: Crafted custom layouts for articles, headlines, and social posts to create an immersive news experience.
Print Materials: Designed offline promotional assets such as flyers, posters, and event banners to support outreach and brand visibility.
Capturing Cultural Relevance: The brand needed to reflect both modern aesthetics and Hausa heritage without compromising readability or accessibility.
